Mike has been providing family and friends with career, employment, job, resume and general workplace advice for some time. While helping family and friends is fine, he has always preferred to affect the "big picture". Family and friends, obviously, is a narrow focus and not the "big picture".
Also, Mike is tired of damaging advice provided by so-called "experts" via radio, newspaper or Internet. It is their PAID job to develop new stories/articles, so some of their advice is suspect due to a self-serving conflict of interest, i.e. keeping their job. Fair enough, we all need to meet the requirements of our jobs, but he doesn't believe they are providing accurate and partial information that we need to keep our jobs or get the next job. Given the current employment, career and job turmoil, he felt this was the perfect time to launch this web site so that he may help a larger audience.
