Attached below you will find a generic CV (Curriculum Vitae) Hybrid Resume with a .5-inch margin. I will provide a more detailed and traditional CV Resume in the near future, but I wanted get this one out because it is designed for positions that are not so "high-end" such as academia, scientific or medical...think Brain Surgeon, but still requires some level of CV format. This template is scaled down compared to the traditional CV and well...it's a hybrid. This resume also is specifically being used for the field of Language Translation but could be modified to accommodate another field
So what makes this resume a "hybrid" CV? First, a CV Resume typically is used when searching for a job in education, science, research in a academic or scientific organization. Also the traditional CV Resume is many pages long, usually more than two. This is a hybrid since it is incorporating some CV functionality while at the same time providing functionality of a Chronological Resume, which is usually used in fields such as language Translation. This template moves specific categories of information to the top, instead of the bottom, such as Skills and Specializations while at the same time maintaining a chronological Experience sectio
This CV Hybrid Resume can be successfully used by people under specific circumstances for specific points in their career. This would include:
- Language Translation
- Newly minted college graduates
- Extended bouts of un-employment
- Other fields where this format is acceptable
While this format could be used for those high-end brainiac positions, albeit much longer and greater detail, you should seriously consider using the more traditional One caveat: Do not use this template for those "high-end" positions such as a CV for position such as doctor, professor, researcher, etc.
